Well, I need some advice. My husband has been taking suboxone for about a year now. He was prescribed 16mg a day and sorta weened off of it. He would go a day or 2 without it and then take a small amount. Hes going on 72 hours without anything in his system and has started to feel pretty shitty. His goal is to feel better by January 10th, when I am scheduled to have a csection with our 3rd child. Today he is experiencing the chills, depression, extreme fatigue.....but he has been able to sleep for the past 3 nights. He is pretty sure he will be sleepless tonight because last night was restless for him. So does anyone know what this is like? Anyone actually been through suboxone w/d? I would love to know when the worst of it will be over. Is there any chance that he will be better in 13 dyas.....16 days after his last dose? Obviously I know he wont be up to running a marathon...but will the worst be over? Will he be able to care for our baby? I wish he had never gotten on this damn sub. Its been harder for him to get off of than the percs were. Please, any input will be greatly appreciated. I cant even look forward to our baby coming because this is such a huge stress. I just want to know if there is hope in sight!!
Well, it’s definitely harder to get of Suboxone than it is of Percocet, Suboxone is way stronger. I think that he definitely should get some sleeping pills for these first 5-6 days until the chills, restlessness and insomnia get little better and if he has a chance to keep himself in order with those meds he would probably be better in this first month than without anything. I’m just sorry you have to have this huge worry so close to delivery, you don’t need me to tell you it’s not ideal situation for you in that state. He definitely is going to be better than he is now in 10 days.
The only thing i can say is i am a 19 year old dude and i was on percocets for 2 years for addictions and one does i just said im dont this is dumber then it worth Tell him you will be there for him every inch of it tell him think of his sweet Baby he has on the way. the percocet withdrawals i went thro was only 5 days with chills and insom but just think hes chasing a drug or "or a high he cant get agn anyways". just makes sure you are there to support him and take him to the hospital if hes been up for over 3-4 days straight they gave antivan. make sure you tell them you dont want no opiate or anything . AND JUST STAY WITH HIM TELL YOU YOU CAN DO IT AND THINK OF YOUR BABY. TELL HIM FOR THE SLEEPLESS NIGHT WORK OUT IN THE MORNING. IF HES FEEL SICK AND CANT DO IT TELL HIM TO WAIT A DAY OR TWO. BUT TELL END UP WORKING OUT IN THE MORNING TO FALL A SLEEP AT NIGHT YOU DONT WANT TO WORK OUT AND NIGHT CUZ IT MAKE YOU MORE ENERGETIC.. TELL me ME AND YOUR BABY ARE HEAR YOU FOR 4-6 DAYS OF PAIN FOR YOUR LIFE BACK... IF YOU READ THIS PLEASE LET HIM READ THIS CUZ I JUST QUIT PERCOCETS 7 DAYS AGO AND NOW IM WALKING MY DOG EVERY DAY IN THE MORNING TO KEEP MY ENERGY LOW. Good luck And BE STRONG 5-7 BAD DAYS THEN IT START GET TO BETTER GOOD lUCK THE BOTH OF YOU AND KNOW
YOUR NEVER TO YOUNG TO CHANGE YOUR LIFE! GOOD LUCK!
