Dear C10,

it sounds like you probably bruised your penis and tore your frenulum. your frenulum should heal in a few days to a week and the swelling should also go down. it would probably be a good idea to ice your penis 15-20 min with ice and about 30-45min off. make sure the ice is wrapped in a towel so you do not give your penis frostbite o.O also is the foreskin very swollen to the point where it is constricting the head of your penis. is your forskin still retracted or is it back over the head of your penis? it could also be possible that you fractured your penis. is it bent or misshapened? also did you hear a pop at all when you were having sex?

thanks

Well C10 surprisingly YES you can fracture your penis. now its not a fracture like breaking a bone becaus unlike dogs and most other mammels, humans do not have a bone in their penis. but what is know as a penile "fracture" is when the erect penis is suddenly forced sharply un, down or sidways resulting int the spongy blood filled erectile tissue to teat causing the penis to bend and get black/blue. now there are different degrees of penile fractures and some are more severe that others. normally one describes hearing a loud pop. now because i cant see what your describig its very difficult to say for sure what it could be but it sounds like you may have torn your frenulum and perhaps just bruised your penis some. i would try and not get an erection for a while (even though this normally happens involuntarily when you sleep) because an erection is just going to cause added stress on any part of your penis that may be damaged and is trying to heal and you may end up developing some scare tissue later on.

hey there,

how old did you say you were? sometimes healing takes longer in older people. also are you on any blood thinning medication or do you have any diseases which would affect your clotting factors? when you look at the overall appearance of your penis does it look different? is it bent or misshapen at all? are there any unusual bulges?

i'm sure you'll be fine thoug, if you think of it your penis contains almost if not the most nerve endings in your body this means any injury to the area is going to be pretty painful, also it is a HIGHLY vascularized area so there will be a lot of swelling that will probably last for a while.

you could take some anti inflamatories like ibuprofin ( i wouldnt take asprin because it thins the blood and could cause some more bleeding). they should help with pain and swelling. also it may not hurt to keep iceing it. what did the doctor tell you? did he give you any medication to take?

Thanks for the advice, the problems solved now. The problem was that my foreskin was pulled back too far and woudn't go back so they made a tiny cut in the skin, pulled it back over and stitched it back up. Only problem is they did this about a week ago and its starting to hurt when i go the toilet. Also i wake up with tiny scabs at the top of my foreskin. Im not sure if the stitches are infected or not. Can anyone help with this?

glad to hear that. as for any infections. is your frenulum or forskin red swollen hot or painful? is there any puss or discharge? and finally did the doctor give you any cleaning instructions for your stiches?

foreskin looks ok, just really hurts most times i urinate, and the pain carries on down to my left testicle. No the doctor gave me no advice or instructions at all, wasn't very helpful.

hmmm where at are the scabs? i would keep the area clean and dry perhaps you may want to put a little topical tripple antibiotic ointment on the stitches. have you tried gently retracting the forskin to clean underneath the foresikin?

the scabs are right at the top of my foreskin, and no my doctor advised me not to pull back my foreskin. How bad can an infection get?

well infections, depending on what type of pathogen causes them and where they are at can get so bad that they are life threatning or risk loosing a limb. how long has it been since you got the stiches?? if its been a week or two you should be fine to GENTLY pull back the forskin and atleast inspect the area and whash it. does the scab close up/cover the opening of the forskin you urin doesnt flow out and it just backflows around the head of your penis?

thanks
