My three year old daughter is a bit of a terror at the moment. She tantrums all day long, expects candy when we go into the store and can cry about it for hours when I don't give in. That is just a small example, but the whole day revolves around her and her wishes and I am just exhausted. I don't like the tips I see on Nanny 911, but I think I am in some serious need of some tips from super parents! Can anyone help me?
I totally feel you, mama! Three can be such a tough age. All around us, in the media, they talk about the "terrible twos" and I do think three is much more challenging. I am all for a more gentle type of discipline myself, and I think you will find lots of great support at www.mothering.com, which has helped me a lot. You should also read "Playful Parenting" by Alfie Kohn. Hang in there, and don't forget that it will get better!
