Sounds like me to the t. My doctor doesn't have a clue what's wrong with me. Many tests have shown up negative for many different things. There's no end to the concern that I'll never have a baby or find out what's going on in my body. I keep going to the doctors for them to just pass me off.

" a hormonal imbalance (gaining weight, fuzzy thinking, low sex drive, etc...) "

This may be one of two: Hashimoto's Disease or PCOS.
So get your thyroid checked for hashimoto's. And get a pelvic exam, where your doctor visually and manually inspects your reproductive organs for signs of masses, growths or other abnormalities. And blood tests. Your blood may be drawn to measure the levels of several hormones to exclude possible causes of menstrual abnormalities or androgen excess that mimic PCOS.

So I'm young, and I rarely get my period. When I don't it's short. It's not because I just started, It's been about 2 1/2 years. I haven't ever been regular, but my mother said I skipped allot because I just started. If Your doctor had said it's being overweight, I honestly doubt it. I weigh under 100 pounds. I would check with anther doctor.

My sister is 20, and for the last 2 years she doesn't have her periods. She is not married, and took a lot of medication, but without any result. What can be the cause?
