It helps to hear others stories and know I am not alone. I have had my pal on and off for 6 years. Sex seems to trigger it - boy does my husband hate to hear that! Are there any prescription medicines that work for immediate relief? I know I need more fiber, but my anus is so tight it hurts to poop. It also hurts to sit, to walk, to stand...I know it will get better, but I wish it would do it quickly!

You know I always took the phrase pain in my ass lightly. Now I am a little freaked out to say the least. I have two of these things, just got that script for the ass pills so I will see how that goes, but I noticed one of them is turning very dark?!?! I have read enough to see though that if its not better in 2 weeks, I will have anyone look at it that dares too. They say peoples embarrassment keeps them from getting to health issues in time and makes things worse, I dont want to be that guy...

Good luck to all of you, I will update when I learn more!

Watch your arse...

Hi all
Apply Coconut oil with turmeric powder, the pain would just go away in no time and do this quite often and you will be fine.
Do not panic, this usually happens if we stress our stomach or some body part a little more than what it can take....so don't worry.
Try this out, it really works

I have the exact same thing right now, found this thread as I am looking for an answer as to what this is before I take the embarrassing trip to the doctor.
I am 22, male, reasonably healthy and fit, probably a tad skinny for my height. I've had this in the past twice (within about 3-4 years), one time it flared up for a couple days and then vanished, however the 1st time it happened it was extremely sore and uncomfortable for a couple days and then it burst and bleed quite a lot, then healed. As it didn't return I just forgot about it. However, seen as though this is now the 3rd time it has occurred, I am a bit concerned as to what it is.
I am not homosexual, nor do I smoke or eat unhealthily and would just like to know what to do, however from reading through the older posts I guess I just have to deal with it and go see the doc.

p.s is it strange that it bleed? it had me quite worried at the time as it was a considerable amount, not just a drop or two.

cheers any help appreciated. want this bum lump to go away!

I developed a pretty fair sized one myself. I'm a healthy young woman that got sicker than sick for a few weeks. It finally caught up with me and I got one. Unfortunately I didn't realize what it was until it was too late, and it had partially burst. Talk about pain! I was in the ER for a few hours for the bleeding and pain. They gave me antibiotics and those Anusol things.
Day later I was still terribly miserable so I went to my doctor, who decided to try to shrink it down by cutting a little hole and releasing the pressure. Turns out there was a HUGE clot in there. I felt a huge change when he started to pull it out, though of course now my rear hurts like a mother.
It's still a little annoying and I can feel it a bit, but I keep using the Anusol like I'm supposed to, and since I can't take hot baths due to my tub being broken, I decided to sit on a hot pad when I can now that the bleeding from getting my rear hacked up yesterday is mostly done. Hopefully I can get back to the gym soon and this all goes away by the end of the week, because I'm pretty miserable!

All in all I'd say if you have a really big 'roid and it hurts you or causes you a lot of discomfort, go see your doctor. Ask him/her to try to fix it by cutting a small hole and getting whatever is in there out. In my case the clot was so big it probably wouldn't have resolved itself properly on its own. Just be prepared to be REALLY uncomfortable for a while!

Reading your first post and the updates was an interesting way to start my day! lol I have been freaking out and completely embarassed to go to the dr over it. After reading this, I'm thinking that is has something to do with working out. I'm a smaller female (young and healthy) and I don't lift weights but I recently started doing a daily hard core cardio. My questions/concerns are...will this be a common thing now? Could it lead to something else? Did the medication get rid of it for good?

My assumption was that older, heavier people got them. It seems that is not the case. I'm concerned.

I got 2 smallish internal hems called milo and otis 8 days before my thesis was due. If any of you have written a thesis then you will know that finishing it requires a lot of sitting down.

They weren't bad at all... Until I stupidly sat in a bad position for about 30 min (thats all it took). Now, it is not fun times. Milo has retreated to the cave he emerged from but Otis keeps poking his head out. I have pushed him back into his fleshy cave about a hundred times and now I feel like Mr Slave from South Park.

I never thought I would spend so much time violating my own arse - I think that has added to the pain. Although Otis is no bigger than before he is not happy and neither am I.

Fingers crossed it starts getting better soon.

I have a half in/half out lump that feels pretty solid. Mine bleeds alot, so am curious if anyone elses bleeds? I will dab it with toilet paper and the tissue will have bright red blood on it. I have to wear a pad. also I think I am leaking liquid poop because there is some brown as well. I cleaned my bum good with a baby whip and made sure it was nice and clean, next time I went to the bathroom I checked it and had the red and brown on the tissue.. I am a bit worried, may get it checked out Monday if it hasn't gotten any better..

Its nice to read something cheerful about this darn thing. The posts above were actually helpful (thanks to all who shared their experiences), though nobody did write anything on how long it takes for it to be normal. Mine hurts like hell sometimes, and even a little when I push it inside. Its been more than a couple of days now, and though I get the idea that it will take some time to heal, I really hope it does soon. My work requires sitting for long durations, and it becomes very uncomfortable at times.

Good luck to all dealing with them and hope it gets well soon!
