I was on low dose of opiate Tramadol and was prescribed with Lexapro

i was on a low does opiate called Tramadol 100 mg. used in moderation no addiction, when my doctor prescribed 20 mg. of Lexapro to start  and  6 hours later i began to have suicidal thoughts, i was admitted to the hospital and within 2 days the inpatient psychiatrist informed me that i should of never been started on Lexapro with any opiates, and never start 20 mg. of lexapro, the highest does of Lexapro to start is 10 mg. and i was hospitalized for 8 days! the pharmacist said that he didn't see the instructions on the fax sent over which which states that patient is to start on 1/2 tab of lexapro for 10 days which would be 10 mg not 20 m. but again the pharmacist admitted that he overlooked the instructions on the bottom of the prescription, and was very apologetic! any imput you can give me will be helpful!                                                                               Thank You
