Hi everyone,
I know these are older posts, but has anyone found a solution to this problem? I am experiencing the exact same thing and it's been driving me INSANE. I went off the pill about 6 months ago (was on for 4 years) and I've put on 19 pounds. I eat better than I ever have (very clean diet, hardly any sugar or sweets) and exercise intensely at least 4 times a week. I'm also a nurse so I'm on my feet all day at work. I'm so frustrated, I had a major breakdown to my husband today because I can't figure out why I keep gaining weight. Every time I step on the scale, it's more than the last time. The only thing that has changed is that I stopped the pill. I have a doctors appointment in 3 weeks and I'm actually hoping she finds something wrong to explain why this is happening. I'm on the verge of completely losing it :( Any advice from everyone? Hate to say it, but at least I'm not alone in this problem. I would've never even started taking the pill if I knew this would happen when I stopped it. I hope at least one person out there has figured something out. Anything would help at this point.
Hi Susan, i cant say I'm in the same boat as you are but i was on the pill for 4 months and went off it and when i went off it i was having a lot of trouble losing weight.. but after a couple of weeks of just sticking with a good diet i lost it.. now i know thats different to your situation since you've been on the pill for years and your probably eating really well too.. but just know that these things take time.. hormones are little stubborn buggers but everything should even out soon! how have you been doing lately?
