I hear everybody talking about nutrition. It seems that everybody has to say something about it. Suddenly everyone is an expert. I hear so many confusing facts that I don’t know what to eat anymore. You can find some “experts” claiming completely opposite things. Do you have any idea about Ideal Race Nutrition?
I am not sure what did you have in mind when you said “race nutrition”. Did you mean the food you eat on a race day or generally competitive athlete’s diet? Beside small amount of easily digested protein, you have to eat some complex carbs on your race day to provide sustained supply of carbs as well as small amount of simple carbs immediately before the race to get a quick boost. As for the general nutrition nothing can replace healthy food. That is a large topic which can be discussed further if you want to.
