So I just had surgery 3 1/2 weeks ago. Before I start my story the reason behind me getting this surgery is bc i had a beautiful baby. Let's get started I'm pretty young so going into this I thought nothing about it. I talked to the doctor. They told me everything I needed to do before the surgery and I did. Going into this I already had bad hems so I was in pain. Scared to the point they had to calm me down. Talking to my boyfriend the whole time.
They came Nd got me 2 hr later I was waking up. The pain was terrible Nd I needed more meds. I went home that day Nd was in so much pain I couldn't take it. The next day I had a BM Nd God knows how trying, unpleasant, Nd unbearable it was for me. I was bleeding everywhere. I had pads on for about a week. Taking baths, shower, Nd stool softeners will safe you. I'm here to tell you this is not a fun ride very, very, very painful!!!! I'm going on 4 weeks now Nd I'm still crying on the toilet. I've already had painkillers but that didn't help everything. I only was eating soups for the first two weeks Nd it was still trying. I had dissolvable stitches that played a big part in the pain.
I'm very happy I got the surgery bc I just can't take having hems but this pain is something they do not tell you about. I've been doing research about the healing process Nd most ppl Nd website are saying 1-2 months Nd from the looks of it they're right. Only thing I can say is be ready, like mentally prepare. I really had to coach myself through every BM. Still learn Nd ready for all of this to be done :)
Good luck Nd best of wishes
