Right now I am in pain management and have been on oxycotin for years it has helped my pain but now my doctor wants to change my medicine to morphine or methadone what should I do any advice?
I too am in a pain management situation. My DR has wanted to change me and at times I have tried a couple things aside from the norm. The only concern I have is if I can function @ work on Morphine. Methadone never has been a option. Make sure you have something that will allow you to function to the level you need daily. That's my best advice!

I just wanted to let you know I don't do as well on the morphine as I do on the oxycotin.I get very sleepy on the morphine.My doctor thinks I have built up a tolerence to the oxy I don't really know why they want to change me if something is working why change it?I hadn't been complaining or anything he just started droping my dose until now he has cut it in half and wants to drop it another 30 pills a month or change my medication.I haven't felt good since he started droping my dose and I am not one to complain or speak up.I have been with this doctor for 4 years and I am considering changeing doctors.I have been depressed every since this started because I don't understand why this is happening to me?I wish you luck.
