I have been having some intense migrane type pain that the Doctors have put down to sinus problems. Pain is only on the left side of head, above the eye(near the temple) and when extreme, wrapping around behind the eye, under the eye and throbbing through the teeth. Only on the left. Treatment with anti biotics, huge amounts of decongestants etc. etc. Nothing is helping. CT scan shows sinus's are not actually that bad, but slightly blocked to the left. Blood tests are unremarkable, but also suggest no actual infection. Physio, Dental and Optical tests reveal all normal.

Careful monitoring of symptoms after 4 weeks have revealed that the pain in the temple area is most commonly occuring around 60 seconds after swallowing something (food, drink etc) however the swallowing action alone is not painful, and the throat is not painful.

Swallowing water can relieve the pain in the temples when it occurs for short periods of time.... but no other food stuffs can be tolerated without pain.
Any ideas??

Since doctors and medications haven't been working, I suggest you see a chiropractor. Maybe it's been caused by vertebral problems. Generally when I get a migraine like how you're describing, it's because my neck is out. After I get adjusted, I feel much better.
