Almost 2 weeks ago, I noticed a lump right above my clitoris (on the bottom of the clitoral shaft, right above the hood). It is painful only when touched (I noticed it when I was wiping after urinating). I immediately grabbed a mirror and looked to see what it was. I do not see anything out of the ordinary, and I have looked numerous times since I discovered it, and do not see anything. I can feel a small (about the size of a pencil eraser) lump under the skin. No other symptoms. Like I said, it does not hurt unless I touch it. I have been with the same man for almost 6 years, and have a 2 year old son, if any of that is relevant. The pain is hard to describe-almost like when you have a scratch or tear "down there" after rougher sex, how it stings when it's touched. I had not had sex for a week before I noticed it, and haven't since I noticed it. My doctor cannot get me in to see her until the 16th. To just say before I get these type of answers: It cannot be any kind of hair issue because I don't know a single person who has hair growing in this area. It is NOT my clitoris itself, I teach students about safe sex and STD's, as well as symptoms etc, I know very well where everything is. I do not remember learning/teaching anything about "invisible" lumps that hurt only when touched. Any help will be appreciated, I am going to go crazy until my appointment if I can't Google some information on what it could 'possibly' be. Thank you!
It is possible that you might have HPV, although it is difficult to tell based on what the symptoms you describe. It is possible that you could have it even with the same partner, as sometimes outbreaks are related to stress. Do you have any other symptoms at all?
I've had the exact same thing happen. It got very swollen within 2 days and very painfull.an it seemed to happen more one one side. I finally went to the doc who gave me antibiotics and told me to soak in a hot bath. After the third daythis all started it "popped" drained and a lot of puss and blood came out.which was a relief. It came out where urine usually comes out and two days later I was fine. So I thought ok this was some fluke thing..oh know..this has happened 2 more times so this as happened two more times so this time I'm going to get the doc to figure this out because..well it is scary and frickin painful. Some say it is glands or yeast or even herpes..which I know it is not the latter. I've also read about this having something to do with veins or possibly a cyst. So come Monday I'm going back in and I'm going to have him figure this out because well as far as I'm concerned this is not somethingone should have to go through..so I suggest we both do the same and demand answers. This is not normal and definitely not fun....good luck to us both!!
