Hi. I have occasional uncontrollable muscle twitching/spasming/contracting on my left side. My whole left side, from my shoulder blades to my my toes, contracts uncontrollably for thirty seconds or less. There is no pain. It makes it nearly impossible for me to hold things in my hands when this is going on. It usually happens when I'm walking around, especially at work (library). I first got this about ten years ago and I have kept it to myself till now bc I can live with it. It has not gotten any worse or better, but it goes through phases. One week, it's nearly gone, and the next week it's rly bad and people ask me what's wrong. Sometimes, I have to "limp" to avert it. It seems to start in my leg somehow. I realize this is probably a nervous system issue. I am a male, age 18, vegetarian, and no one in my family has anything like this. Any help would be greatly appreciated :-)
i also have this but it is down the right side of my body, do you know what it is? i am 15 and have had it for about 2-3 years.
the same thing happened to me, and after nearly 10 years of going to doctors to figure out what it was, a neurologist figured out i had localized epilepsy. i'm on medication now and still feel uncomfortable on my left side, but the seizures dont happen anymore.
