Irregular periods from birth control, How long until my periods become normal again?

First time taking low dose hormonal BC and after only two pills I felt yuck so I stopped then and there! What should I expect? How long until my period becomes normal again?? My period lasted three or four days more than it would have norm and stopped abruptly. Maybe a week or two later (where im at now) I have shown period signs and now some bleeding...Normal?? Pls help!
