Do you think that news broadcasts, i.e. local news has become more like entertainment/gossip than credible, factual news? Some of the broadcasters look like entertainers and talk like entertainers. Instead of getting the facts, you get some of the facts, but mostly the newscasters opinion. These opinions usually come thru sarcasm or a quick comment, chuckle or physical gesture that gets added to the end of the story. I am having trouble deciphering between credible news information and gossip. I find it frustrating. How about you?
It really depends what station you are getting your news from, but then again, they are all in competition with one another. So, if one broadcaster starts to talk more like an entertainer, then we see a flux of broadcasters doing the same. I try to glean my own facts from a variety of different news articles, broadcasts, etc. Then go with my gut on things. Too many opinions out there. Although, I am curious as to everyone else's opinion on this matter. :-)
