Hello, I am 52 years old and have been diagnosed with anthracosis. I admit that I was surprised to hear that it is related to pollution and that it usually happens to coal mine workers. Is it really possible that the pollution level can be that high in big towns? Also, is it possible to have asymptomatic form of anthracosis?
Yes, it is. And the point is, this sort of condition develops over years, not over night and even though it was related only to coal mines locations in the past, it seems that modern heavy industry has brought it to towns. The symptoms are usually not shown until the real problem comes, and that is the final form of anthracosis, Black lung disease.
