Very interesting question you've posed. I've began to respond at least three times before changing my mind and starting over. For the sake of my ruminations, I'll assume that you're talking about making money on a grand scale for either personal gain or "your" company's gain. First, I suggest not correlating fame with making money. Some people desire fame most and money is secondary. (ref: 50 cent) Next, being adept at making money could be a function of focus. How much does an individual want it? At what personal cost will they continue to see monetary gain? What is sacrificed? Priorities. Hmm. Finally, the talent or skill at making money... hmm. You know, some people work hard and focus on making money but still can't do it. What pushes him/her over the edge? Is it talent? luck? I don't believe in luck. My answer is yes, money making can be a talent (but isn't always required).

I think making money is a talent/gift. Just like singing, or dancing, or speaking many languages.

I think KEEPING money is also a gift. My great grandparents were humongously wealthy in their native country, but then blew it all. Some people have fabulous earning potential, but have no concept on how to "stay wealthy".

My question: can generous people ever get wealthy?
