my tounge has been pierced for 5 days now and there is a red dot infront of it that looks like a blood blister is that normal?

To all of these posts, i also got my tounge peirced 3 days ago, have a whitish yellow ring around both ends of the bar, and have two red looking bumps, whitch ARE blood blisters. Also almost everyone that posted on this thread, YES, your peircing is infected. as is mine. However, ive been told that if you use a very strong mouthwash, something with alchohol in it, instead of it being diluted, it can really help to get rid of the infection. brushing your teeth after every meal also helps. Also brush your tounge even if it hurts. there is bacteiria on your tounge that can go down into your peircing, and cause infection. if you stick your tounge all the way out, it should hurt less. The mouthwash may say "Inactive ingredients" where alchohol is labeled, but it only means that its not for your breath, it is still an ingredient, and can help. The more it burns, the more you know its working and its worth the burn! Hang in there guys! im with you all the way!! T_T

the white bumps could be pus pockets and the white pus could either be the tongue healing itself or pus really the only way to sure is to consult you piercer
