so like, I got my tongue pierced on Friday (O8131O) & this is my second time piercing it because it was pierced before. (but it closed)
but yeah, behind the piercing its becoming yellow... what do I do ?! D;

I got my tongue pierced Tuesday afternoon. It's still sore and swollen. It's also expelling yellowish white stuff that looks a bit like pus. Is this normal?
It's also slightly off centre, to the right..so its mainly painful on the right side of ky tongue.

The yellow tongue is just where it's healing. And if anyone has a white or yellow ring on either side of their tongue, that's the tongue's version of a scab. It's nothing to worry about.

I got my tongue pierced 2 days ago. It was swollen for maybe a day or two before it went back to normal. There was the whiteish/yellowish puss, but a *LUKE WARM* rinse of 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt and 1 cup of water washed it clean. My dentist advised me not to use peroxide or any tooth paste that was 'whitening' or contained 'peroxides' or any mouthwash that contains alcohol because it *can* prevent the skin-scab from forming by the in the tongue next to the bar and prolonging healing (increasing the risk for infection). This was basically the same information the piercer told me. Just my 2 cents.

I have had my tounge pericing for about 2 weeks now and it is still sore around the hole and it kinda hard. and there was like some sort of whiteish yellow puss coming out is it infected?

hey every bodie ok i have seen alot of you ask about the yellowish whiteish prob happen like 2 to 4 days after you got it done OK
mine did the same thing ok and as you can see it happens to every bodie else yers it will go away and yers it is a lil infection but tht only becuz your tongue is heeling and as its heeling it will push out all tht pus and sh*t so it can heel props ok so no need to worrie ok aits all good your tongue is fine but if its bleed like 247 thn you hve to see your doctor ok but yer min is now great and some times i forget about it and yer
oh and yers it still sometimes can be swollen for 4 weeks tht can be goo sometimes but just to be safe go see your doctor

hi got mine done 5 days ago now and the white circle is just puss and skin cells healing it will be sore for a while but its nothing to worry about just keep on cleaning and rinsing your mouth as normal you will more than likely get a yellowy film across your tongue as well this is normal also its just due to not being able to swallow the same this will go eventually =] hope that helped x

hey guys, i got my tongue pierced 4 months ago and its been hurting lately. i pulled the ball ontop to see what is was and in that slant that the ball makes, theres a yellow dot that looks like an infection and it hurts. im wondering is there anything that could make it go away? my friend recommended mouthwash but i dont know..

hey i had the same thing happen to mine
it means that you might of ripped it down while you were eating or drinking
i was eating solid foods from day one . so the little 'redish blister' is just the skin from were you ripped it.
toungues heal really fast and it will go away in a few days :):)

I got my tongue pierced on friday, it is monday now. I have a tiny pink blister, and yellowish taste buds. i asked my piercer, and he said it's all part of the healing process.
so nothing to worry about :-)

I woke up with that red mark in front of mine on the fourth day of mine being pierced, alls I did was brush my teeth, rinse with 1/4 cup water and 1 teaspoon morton sea salt and rinsed with non alcohol mouthwash and dipped a q-tip in listerine and washed both sides of the piercing and I looked about an hour or two later and the red blister mark was gone. Hope this works out for y'all.

okay, i just got mine done, and the same thing happened with the white puss stuff, its just the dead white blood cells, it will heal, and if you have any difflam spray, or anything that numbs a sore throat, spray it around the piercing because it takes the pain away!
however, my bottom lip has gone really numb lately, and idk if its to do with that, anyone else had that?:S
