The bump at the front of your piercing isn't becuase it's infected, it's that your piercing in on a steep angle inclining towards the back of your mouth and your body is naturally trying to straighten it out. The problem is that when it was pierced, the piercer went straight down and as your tongue goes back into your mouth it goes in on an angle. It's not a big deal. But for anyone who doesn't have it done and is planning on it, talk to your piercer - if they pierce on a slight angle when your tongue is out of your mouth; that is further forward on your tongue at the top than the bottom, it should be pretty much straight when it's in your mouth, which should stop the bump people are talking about.

i have had mine for about 2 weeks and about the color that's completely normal mine is healing just fine and in the first 5 days it was yellowish white around the piercing but that's normal...and your tongue still being swollen after 5 days for me it happened and its healing fine....the healin process can take longer for certain ppl and not for others but if your really freaked out about it i suggest you go see your piercer

Hey i had my tongue pierced yesterday, i also have the yellow stuff i dont think that means anything i think its either just healing puss or food that got trapped lol but anyways my piercer said to clean your mouth out with diluted listerine or salt water, and also (for guys also) to take midol im a male and i have taken some of my gf's midol and it has really helped, my tongue is less sore and also not as swollen

so i got my tongue periced on sunday & its now thursday. i thought it was healing but i guess not. i woke up today & like where the top ball lays there is a HUGE dent there. i dont want the hole getting bigger and the bar falling through. also it is slightly yellowish. i clean it everytime i eat, like the pericer told me too. any suggestions? im scared haha.

ok so ive had my tongue pierced for almost two months and the little bump on it during the first few days is normal. it will go away soon and the bleeding will stop within the first few days of having the bump. i had thing a few weeks ago. but if your still concerned then either go to the piercer and ask them or if it gets worse i would recommend going to your doctor. i hope it turns out ok. good luck

ok so i pierced it tuesday and its now friday. the white ring is dead skin cells accumulating. just take it off with clean tweezers DO NOT USE UR FINGERS. the swelling usually will last 3-7 days. and warm salt water helps the healing but does not disinfect. do not dilute mouthwash like listerine. thats even worse lol. and as for hurting when its touched. DONT TOUCH IT. move your tongue to help with the soreness and also when eating if you cant eat something soft or something like soup then try to eat to the side. ;-)
