I am not sure what the attraction is to the smell of popcorn, and I think I will never understand it. I think it just triggers an urge deep within our collective unconscious to throw away a ridiculous amount of money. I am sorry we throw up our money on something that has no nutritional value other than fiber. However, I have even heard it may actually be harmful. Can you tell me the answer that I am so much interested into: is popcorn bad for you?

It is not that I hate the stuff called popcorn, but it is just that I have very little use for it. I do not eat it often, and I have never had a craving for it. I have no problem falling asleep in the middle of a movie without popcorn. This does not mean I do not ever want to eat popcorn, but I never get a sudden urge for this. I just know that if it was not for salt and butter they could hand a jumbo bag of packing peanuts or rice cakes. I am afraid person would not know the difference he or she did not look at it. I believe that is why it is so popular in darkened theaters. I can tell you there were a studying whether vapors from the butter flavoring causes a rare lung disease. Apparently, workers who mix popcorn flavorings get this respiratory illness. I with all this I want to tell you definitely eating popcorn in huge amounts is bad for you, like anything else would be bad when eaten without control. The point is that popcorns are not healthy, so we all should stop eating that so much.

I love popcorn and could eat it everyday. At certain periods in my life; I have ate it everyday. Some trainers say it's okay and some trainers say to stay away from it. I recently lost 10lbs and then started eating popcorn everyday and that's when I noticed my wt loss stopped and eventually went the other way. As of today I am stopping popcorn until the end of my competition and we'll see if that really was the culprit.
I have read many articles that some people are allergic to popcorn and don't know that it is reacking havoc internally. It is a source of fiber but maybe we should eat something else. As always this is a food that has good and bad points. Moderation is key!
