I GOT A CAT SCAN AND FOUND OUT THAT I HAD A ENLARGED OVARY THEN GOT A ULTRA SOUND AND MY DOCTOR SAID THAT WAS NORMAL IS THAT TRUE OR FALSE?
Every test is used for different things. And xray is used mostly for bones, an MRI for organs, A CT for joints, and ultrasound for tissues/organs. If you have EVER seen an ultrasound, most of the time you think to yourself "HOW can they see that?" or "WHAT are they looking at" Sometimes different technicians can view the same scans/xrays and see different things. So this is probably the reason for the discrpency. ALSO depending on their findings, if the Dr. feels there is nothing to worry you about they might just say "Everything looks fine". Since you had 1 test, and they thought they saw something abnormal, they wanted to send you for another different test, just to see if that showed the same thing. In your case it didn't, and Ultrasounds are the BEST for organs and for measurements. So I don't think you need to worry. If you are having pain from that ovary, that is one thing. If you are not having any symptoms, then don't worry about it. Good Luck and Good Health
