Sometimes I find it realy hard to take deap breath, like i have to realy push the air down into my lungs, but my lungs won't expand enough to take all the air in. I have to try acouple of times before i can take a deap breath, then after that its fine for a while but then i have to try again.
The thing is, if im distracted and dont think about it, I find that it doesn't happen(only when i remember that i didnt have to take a deap breath, and start thinking about it ).
This has been going on for the last half year or so, on and off, and it goes on for a couple of days together, then stops.
So is it anything physical or is it more mental?
Im not realy woried about it, but I thought I'd ask just in case.

Hi there, I can tell you that it is probably mental because I have been in a similar situation and struggled with it myself. I have had a hard time swallowing and it can be very frustrating. Have you seen an ENT?
ENT? Sorry i don't know what that means(guessing that's some kind of doctor), but I haven't seen anyone about this.
And ENT is an ear nose and throat doctor. That is who I think that you should see. What do you think?
Well I'll see. I'm not realy fond of doctors ;-)
What is described in the original post is chronic hyperventilation and a belief that overbreathing is good. Overbreathing, according to hundreds of physiological and medical studies, REDUCES body oxygenation.
