Most of these mothers probably did take their children to their doctor and seemingly each receives a different answer but no solution. Three dermatologists for us -- no solution.

I have had these crazy wounds i call them ( start off small like a bug bite , then open up , scab and never heal ,) several drs later , and several homeopathic and medications , creams nothing fixed it ,, Was at my wit end , knowing some about skin care , i try and extract the seeds , that now seem to be many , and root like , not puss So i look up stages of healing wounds , well i covered them up , to see if i just dont obsess Well they didnt go away , the only way they heal is if i dig all the white roots out and i am left with a scar that has holes in it , a lil research , and thinking all the rounds of antibiotics i was on due to a mrsa infection , A woman suggested using monostat , i did and it cleared up ,, i donf know why the steriod cream and the anti fungel i used didnt clear it up , i also used in the past and a week trial each ( alcohol , peroxide, diet, hibicleanse ,antibiotics , antibiotic cream , steriod cream , anti vitals, oregano oil , tea tree oil , used 12% salisitic acid like in wart remover ,ache wash , hunny , aloe , etc) the monostat cleared a lot of it , the other spots i treated with a psoriasis. Cream that i used on it before but never helped , i did notice if one starts it spread , also read and article on candida , i dont have it in my system but may have on my skin , the mulliucam or how ever its spelled , saw a article of a woman using apple cider vinegar ,, Key for me is , if the antibiotic ointment made it worse ( dont treat it as a bacterial inf ) If yellow or crusty yea that is staff or bacterial Hope this helps ,, i know the frustation ,,, My skin had been goin in waves , and i do have an auto ammune issue , , so goin to try the vinegar next flair , due to i dnt have ins,, Good luck

Two years of the same.  Turned out to be an autoimmune disorder, Prurigo Nodularis, painful, not much known about it, Do you have any other auto-immune disorders such as rheumatoid Arthritis, diabetes, etc?

I have a similar experience & have done extensive research coming up a probable cause of non-tuberculosis mycobacteria (NTM) - possibly m. fortuitum or actinomyces. I had a dental infection for 3 years, following the loss of a tooth, complete bone degradation, then dental surgery & a bone implant. Shortly after the surgery, my face became very itchy along the jaw & over my eyes like an allergic reaction. My skin then developed a few sores on my cheek (holes covered with scabs), one on my neck and two on my upper chest. The sores had tracts filled with gritty granules that were completely dry & hard like sand. The sores were covered with a sticky bacterial scab. I was then bitten by mosquitos in the summer while working in the yard & all the bites turned into the same type of scabbing sores and have remained unhealed for 6 months. I have also experience knee swellings both knees, a sore hip like a hematoma & have never before had any history of knee injury. I have been to over 10 doctors with only limited success with antibiotics, topical creams & coricosteroids. The last biopsy showed "exzemouse tissue" which is to be expected over a long period of time of unhealed tissues & does not address the holes under the scabs containing granules. The first specialist wrote up a report & made the facts fit his clinical dianoses which I found sloppy work at best and in the long run may affect my health quite seriously. In office, he suggested "folliculitis" but changed his diagnosis after I denied having been to a spa. He was thinking of an outbreak of NTM in California called "Hot Tub Foliculitis" and this is exactly what my legs looked like. The culprit of that outbreak was Non-Tuberculosis Mycobacteria caused by dirty hot tub water (filters) & open wounds. Current statistics show a dramatic rise in the incidents of this type of infection in North America, yet 99% of the doctors don't seem to have a clue about it. One article from the UK suggested the differential diagnosis of unhealed wounds after standard treatment with antibiotics should be NTM. Mycobacteria is acid fast bacteria and NTM requires a special lab test that can only be done if the doctor makes a clinical diagnosis & requests it. It will not show up in standard lab or blood tests. If it is systemic, it often hides in biofilms evading detection from the body's immune system so doesn't cause any dramatic increase in WBC, particularly if you are immunocompetent. It is a higher form of bacteria - it has been evolving for thousands of years & so has developed methods of avoiding detection. When left untreated, it can invade your joint synovial fluids causing septic arthritis (and you will be diagnosed as having "arthritis"), or can cause endocarditis or other serious implications. It is an environmental bacteria - commonly found in soil & water. I hope the medical field will catch up with the research & start treating people. But I suspect even if they know about it, it will be just like Lyme - where the treatment is too expensive & the risks are only to individuals (ie, not an epidemic type illness) so they ignore it.

Doid you ever find out what was causing your issue? I have been batteling this for years now.

I got hit with what I call BLISTER SPIKES about 2.5 weeks ago. Starts out as a regular zit/pimple, then when its ready to pop you pop it but then. WHOA! That aint no pimple. It hurts with a deep rooted pain that to me feels more like a cold sore or blister, it tingles, feels like a burn from a red hot cigar. So I started F-ing with it. And a dead layer or two formed scabbed & beneath were white hard little spikes/balls that are a b***h to get out. But if you don't remove them they wont heal & the area hurts very bad until they are popped out as well . Then it will most likely fill back up a few times so you do it again. . BAKING SODA Paste with water. Works amazing draws the BS out then they heal. I think the spikes are hair follicle perhaps dead skins attached /clogged pores, add Bad diet/lack vitamins, supplements etc., dehydration & then BLISTER SPIKES for X-mas! ... So LAME!

Responding to lil bumps under skin itch,bleed,scab,itch ,bleed scab... Its like skin crawling sometimes. Almost like something alive the attack is so itch screaming... When I grab the itch spot say on my shoulder where I cannot see I always think there will be something alive but no there is a hard white whatever that I think formed maybe they are gnat bits. You can not see the file gnats when they are very small and they release something into the bite like a mosquito that itches and I think that hard white scab under scab is that... They are nothing like a pimple the scab is on top..Very hard to heal..I have researched and researched. I noticed some gnats around my daughters Guinea pig cage.. We feed them fruits and veggies. First I thought was spiders because I saw tiny spiders coming from the ceiling fan light on a web string lol. My computer was under that fan. I moved away oh maybe they jump. I did spray... Then I considered fleas because I do have dogs but they are on program all year. Always a chance they come in on clothes or someone else.... I have compared bite pictures and many bites look the same.. I also thought I may have a neurosis problem that has these symptoms I have not ruled that out. Shock waves I thought were from menopause I just turned 50 but the neurosis states the hives itch ans shocks with hot... Ahhhhh. I have scrubbed my walls and up all night making sure no creatures...Only ever saw the lil black spiders and gnats...Could be a combination.. When the gnats are small you cannot see them and they bite and itch...

Yes I think the hard white spikes are the insects saliva or venom. Some people are allergic and some are not... We are.. Cortisone creme from DR helps. I take allergy pill sometimes at night. Scrub with Paul Mitchel tea tree soap sea salt and Avon skin so soft then dry off and dump skin so soft all over lol... Then I tuck my blanket all around me lol... Its crazy because they take so long to heal you feel like your being bit over and over... If your like me I have a bug phobia...CRAZY...

Canker sores and cold sores are two very different things. Canker sores are inside your mouth, cold sores are on your lips and yes, they ABSOLUTELY ARE a strain of Herpes. Simplex 1, as a matter of fact. I wish people wouldn't give advice about things they don't really know anything about :/

I just said the same thing! It really bothers me when people give false information, misleading others looking for help.
