Alright, so I've been taking birth control pills for about 6 months or so, and heard that you'll be protected even when on the "inactive pills", I was on the last day of the inactive pills and since I had ended my period about 2 days before that, I decided to have unprotected sex with my boyfriend. But the next day when I was supposed to start a new package, the pills never showed in the mail, and aparently my perscription was over so I wont be getting more pills for at least a month. I heard sperm can live up to five days or something in a womens body, so, is it possible that I could end up pregnant? Or am I just freaking out over nothing?
Hi hon! You should have NO problems, BUT because you will have a month break from the BCP and then start again, you will HAVE to be protected from now till the end of the next regime! So have your BF use a condom for 2 months, then you should be totally fine! Each day that passes increases your odds of becoming pregnant, so that is why you need to take extra precautions. And since you had sex on the same day as your last pill, you will still have that protection. Does this put your mind at ease? Good luck and health1
Omg thank you! That does help A LOT. You have no idea. Thank you so so so much!!!
