I am astounded at all these posts as I was on Kliovance for 10 years without a single side effect. No weight gain, no bloating, no bleeding etc.

People generally only post about problems, not if things are going well. I'm about to start taking them so was reading up. Thanks for the encouragement!

Yes, I'm the exact same!
Been on them for 3 weeks today, not had a period for over a year, but started bleeding 3 days ago, very crampy tummy, which I have never in all my years of periods had, thinking of doing them and just putting up with the menopausal symptoms :-(

Synthetic means something produced/synthetized from basic chemical elements so that is absolutely not the case of Premarin pregnant horse urin. Maybe Your holistic knowledge needs some scientific based and not "sounds Like" education.

Hi I too have been taking Kliovance for 3 weeks, I go to slimming world and have been following a strict food plan, But have been gaining weight and feeling bloated since taking this. I am going to speak to my doctor about coming of the tablets, I cannot cope with gaining weight each week.

Are they facts you are quoting about ingredients? Or are they your own assumptions?

I have been on Kliovance for over 2years and have put on a stone in weight ( 14 pounds), particularly in the abdominal area. I feel bloated most of the time and I seem to have lost the ability to know when I am truly full when eating. Ironically, I feel full and bloated yet still hungry after a meal. I take natural remedies to supplement the Kliovance as it is not even that effective at dealing with menopausal symptoms. Yet, without HRT, my symptoms, hot flushes etc are horrendous. I've been on some form of HRT for 10 years now and the symptoms show no sign of abating. Not quite sure what to do but would love to lose the weight. Sadly, only near starvation diet seems to start shifting some weight.

I have been on Kliovance for many years and, yes, it has me at that I am approximately half a stone heavier. However, this drug has given me a life with no side effects and I am struggling to come off it as it has kept all my symptoms at bay. I feel the weight gain is worth it because I feel so much better and I sleep sweat free every night. I take 5 tablets of the low dose per week and it works for me.

I have been taking it since last summer and have gained over a stone! Most of my weight gain seems to be on my belly which always looks bloated now - I've never carried weight there and it's really depressing me as none of my clothes fit any more. I also measured myself and have gained 4 inches in my chest, waist and hips. I'm going to stop taking it and try going back to the night sweats and buy a fan to carry when needed during the day - anythings got to be better than this!

I started with Kliovance about 2 years ago, but didn't take it regularly and ended up not taking at all. About 6 weeks ago my hot flushes returned, I knew I had some kliovance left over and still within date. So I started to take them again, this time as I should take them, every day. over the last 2 years I have been battling with Cholesterol in my body so have been very conscious of what I have eaten. My diet has been very strict. As a plus to the diet change, my weight (which was not excessive) reduce, and I was happy to be back to 9.5 stone from 11. However, I have felt over the last few weeks, my body feeling bloated and fatter around the middle - my diet has not changed, but I seem to be increasing in weight and becoming thick around the middle. I have noticed that weight gain, or change is a side affect of Kliovance. I have decided today, after a worrying sleep to knock it on the head.

I totally agree, my friend recommends Sage capsules for hot sweats. How long do you think it takes to get out of the system? I hope the weight gain soon goes back to how it looked before kliovance

I have been on Kliovance for approx 9 months after starting the menopause late at 59. I had terrible night sweats and flushes and found the relief of Kliovance wonderful with no side effects just minor weight gain. My GP now wants me to slowly come off the drug as I am now 60 so have reduced like you to 5 tabs a week but the sweats wake me a couple of times in the night now. The GP wants me to drop off another tablet in a month but i am reluctant to do this. Just wondered if anyone else is older like me! I'm not looking forward to stopping the HRT so soon after starting but if there is a danger taking the Kliovance at an older age obviously I will have to come off it.

I have been on Kliovance for years, I can't remember how many. I only took it as it was the only HRT treatment that stopped extremely horrendous hot flushes (6 or so in the day and almost constantly overnight) I have put on at least 3 stone despite a healthy diet and a very active lifestyle. I am now 62 and have in the last couple of weeks gone cold turkey with it. I am having a 'period' but so far the hot flushes have not come back. My blood pressure is down also. I am looking at taking herbal medication if the hot flushes return. I am also in the process of changing doctors. The old doctor always told me that taking Kliovance was not the cause of my weight gain - even though it says it is a possible side effect on the information leaflet that comes with it. Has anyone stopped it cold turkey after years of taking it.
