Had L3/L4, L4/L5 Surgery to remove degenerataive discs and insert spacers through the left side approx. 10 wks ago. Upon waking up, left leg was numb. Left leg is numb from upper inner thigh down to lower calf. Live nerve is sensitve to touch from inside of left foot, over ankle up into calf and sometimes higher. There is little to no presence of quadricept muscle. Regardless of amount of work in aquatherapy or land therapy exercises, quad muscle remains dormant. Help! Surgeon refuses to do EMG stating it is too soon after surgery to insert needles into back.
