Large Lump and Pain Following Vasectomy

Lol. I got snipped 3 weeks ago and ran into this site cause I got a lump and pain too... But I'm laughing my ass off how some of these guys explain how events unfolded.

Day 17 for me. Huge mass on my right side and pain in my abdomen like others describe. I'm not sure what fruit or vegetable to describe it, but it's bigger than a walnut. More like one of those small bananas you get in tropical regions or a small candy bar. It goes all the way from my right testicle up to my crotch and hurts right above it. I called the doctor's office every day last week and got no callback then finally a nurse who was dismissive of all my concerns - talking about bb size lumps. I'm like this is a frickin' candy bar in me. Very pissed and regretting this since week 1.

If you see this before you get one, tell your lady it's on her. She can get a IUD. If there are complications they pull it out and you go get a V - hopefully without this kind of situation.

Forgot to mention that a jock strap is a life saver. I was using tight boxer briefs - didn't work, then these underwear with a pocket kind of thing for your junk like a jock strap but underwear - those are pretty good and I'm going to continue buying those after this is over. But the jock strap holds everything in place so you don't bounce around which is where a lot of my pain comes from - or not sitting down correctly because I have a f*****g candy bar mass in my sack now.

I've been doing heat packs as was recommended, but I don't feel like it's doing anything.

Everybody heals differently, it took me 3 months to the day before I had a "feeling" free day where I didn't know my junk wasn't right. Then again, an hour in the sack with my girlfriend and 2 Vicodin didn't help the matter 5 days post snip!!! Take it easy, wear the jock strap and leave your junk alone is my advice. My junk bothers me 3 or 4 times a year now from a minute to an hour or so. I'm about 5-6 years post snip. It's a small price to pay as opposed to the possible alternative and having decide to keep or abort. It'll get better, give it some time. One guy said it didn't feel right for 6 months and in my case, several said they were fine 2-7 days afterwards. Your not here because you're one of the many, you're one of the few. Time my friend, time is what it takes. It doesn't solve your problem now, but it is what it is. The doctors won't tell you that part though, nor did they me!!!!!!! Don't sweat it, sit back and have a cold one!

Hi I no it was over a year ago you posted just wondering how you got on with it all because I've read a few posts but yours is exactly the same as how I feel ime six days after my vasectomy and ime in agony massive lump on right testicle and it hurts to even walk any feedback would be appreciated thanks

I've posted in this forum before. I took THREE full months to get back to 100%. I had times, lasting up to a minute or two that felt weird, burning, not quite right, but then it went away. My first year (after my first pain/feeling free day) I had several 1-2 minute lengths of time where my junk wasn't quite right. As the years have passed, I no longer have any issues and I'm about 6 years post snip now. The first three years like I said I had issues for a minute or two every couple of weeks, out of the blue. I also had sex 5 or 6 days after the snip, NO SEX until you feel better. My balls couldn't handle it, after the fact that is, during was fine. I did not have a lump, but the pain/ tugging was always there when I walked. You're one of the unlucky ones. I certainly know how that feels. DO NOT and I mean DO NOT look on line. You will find horror stories and you will sweat it out the next week or couple until things settle down and you're fine. I dropped a lot of weight, not eating and worrying. You're not alone, but the doctors may not tell you that, at least my POS doctor never did. He prescribed me antibiotics for an infection, even though there were no signs of such. Make sure to go back in for ***TWO*** follow up sample testings to make sure you're junk is clear before you get back to it. My situation is not exactly like your's, but everyone heals differently. I really hope reading this gives you a bit of relief at least knowing that not everyone is good to go after a week. Those three months were the longest I'll ever live. On a side note, I did ask around and most guys said they were 100% in a week, one said 2 days!

I now know why a vasectomy stops pregnancy... because after it you will never want to have sex again!! The thought of bouncing my balls on the inside of thighs again feels me with dread
