Hi, my friend is 53 years old and he started to experience problem with food several days ago. He felt that food is coming back when he swallow it. When he visited doctor he told him that he has laryngopharyngeal reflux and that he had to make further analyzes to find cause. I would like to know something more about this disorder.
Hi, laryngopharyngeal reflux may be caused by several reasons. One of them may be inflammation of that part which makes very difficult for food to pass trough. Also other reason may be some obstruction which may be caused by enlarging of thyroid gland or other tumor in that area.I hope everything will be fine.
