Hi to you too. I went to an ophthalmologist since I had some eye problems. I was told I had meibomitis. I know that this condition is very tough for curing, but I would like to know if Lasik can help with this condition. Can anyone tell me this? I would appreciate all your replies.
Hello. This is totally out of the question. Lasik and all refractive surgical procedures are contraindicated when one has meibomitis. Meibomitis can be managed with other procedures. One of them is punctual occlusion. In this procedure, canal that drains tears and is located in eyelid is being blocked. In this way tears are accumulating and moisturizing the area. You can ask all this your ophthalmologist. I hope I’ve helped. Good luck! Bye!
