Hi Patty,

This is really hard question. It is hard to give any estimation if person is not a professional. I really don’t like to do that. Your father is old, 82 years are not small amount of time. You have to understand that your father has many problems and things are not simple. However I would suggest that your brother comes to spend some time with him if he has any chance to come from states sooner. What is wrong with his ankle? How did it get ulcerated? What is his doctor telling you?

How did he found out that he has renal failure? On what medication is he currently?

I hope your brother will come on time.

Hi Perfect Patty,
I know this is a long time ago now, just wondering if your father is still with you? So sorry if he isn't. I'm asking as my own Dad is 18 months into MDS, he has type 2 diabetes and is now almost 84 - I am wondering how long he has left with us, especially as he is fairly weak now, even after a transfusion. to date he has not had any Chemo and he has blood results on tomoro - so hoping the news isn't bad!!
