I was feeling dizzy like many of us here. For a long time.

I was told by my new Doctor that it was lack of sleep, and also dehidratioin and Stress.

He told me to always make sure I drink water whenever I feel thirsty. Instead of drinking Milk or Juice he said "take a glass of water and try to have at least a couple of glasses a day. Take a multi vitemine everyday and also to make sure to Excersize". He told me that Exercise is the most important thing to do. He said it keeps you from getting sick and it also gets rid of many health problems and mainly it will get rid of Stress.

He also mentioned not to have anything to eat or drink except water the hour before I go to sleep. I wake up feeling so much better than I used to.

I now workout or do some exercises everyday, even if it's just for 15 Minutes. It's better than doing nothing.

I feel great and have not had the dizzy symptoms since.

I wanted to share this with you all.

Regards,

Jerry

Hi, I have been reading the posts because I have been getting lightheaded a lot. I was diagnosed with a condition called postural hypertension when I was about 14. This is generally in puberty and goes away at 18-20. It is when your blood pressure although seemingly normal due to your hormones drops after activity or inactivity. Ie you lie down, get up quick and bam you are dizzy or if you have been running, walking etc and you stop this can cause your blood pressure to drop. I was told to always get up slowly and to cool down after activity slowly. Always to carry a full fat coke or lucozade etc to boost my blood sugar levels. This is all good and well and I am now 31 and although I have always had the odd dizzy attack on a packed train, in a club etc it all but disappeared until quite recently.i have a two year old daughter and I am thinking that now my periods etc have all calmed down and my hormones are back to 'normal' I may have gone back to a form of the postural hypertension but its now when I hurt myself (doesn't even have to involve blood) , after sex, during my perid, when I get up and scarily when I pick my daughter up. I am going to visit the doctor and won't accept anxiety attack as an answer so if they give me any answers I'll let you all know. The important thing is to ask the doctor to check your blood pressure whilst you sit and stand up. mine always appeared normal until a specialist tested it whilst I went from sitting to standing. Hope ths helped a few of you.

Ok so last year I was a sophomore in high school and that's when my dizziness started. I actually passed out in gym class. And so after about 6 months with the doctor I got put on heart pills because I have a rapid heart beat and I got glasses. Since then I would get light headed every now and then and that was it. Then this year, my junior year it started again. Getting really dizzy. I had to come home from school early. Now I am almost sure it's cause of stress and anxiety. School is really hard this year and I really miss my boyfriend of 2 years whom I never get to see much anymore. I feel all of your guys' pain this symptom is horrible and can really affect your life. My parents don't know what to do anymore and are getting annoyed. Their medical bills are so high. Anyone know how to self treat anxiety and stress?

60 beats per minute is a great resting heart rate! However it could be the reason you get light headed because it could mean your not getting enough blood flow and oxygen. See a doctor if your symptoms persist!

i have the same as everyone here, but i think my problem is because more of gym problem i tend to go to the gym alot and i have sometimes experiment myself to pre workouts that carries alot of caffeine , this feeling that u guys mkight have is because ur body sometimes is on alot of caffeine, drink alot of water and stay hydrated as u can, i usually have more than a gallon today but most of the time i feel confuse , too much water is also no good for the brain cause u will still give the brain that sense of light headed since the brain is also with water on its surroundings, stay come and dont panic is the solution to this , try not to concetrate it and live your life with normality.

if u do exercise ill recomend not try to leave heavy things , stay out of it and comsume also ALOT OF REST, it might also be because u not getting alot of sleep in ur bed or because ur body is overworked that it needs to go back to sleep, also dont wake up so fast take ur time and move slow up.Wishing everyone a nice day and remnber everything will be fine :-)
