Side effects can last months after taking "the pill" my girlfriend would get them frequently but everything paid out in the end
Hi did u get better.did you start sleeping well.im having sleep disturbances.
I took plan B around April 10th and got my period 2 days later when I normally get it on the 21st. I've taken a few of these before and haven't felt much but this time it has hit me like a ton of bricks! Not only did I get my period way early, I've had abdominal cramping, headaches everyday, I feel like I've gain 20 pounds even today 15 days later! I haven't even changed my diet at all and I've just gain a tramendous amount off weight and I'm pissed about it because I've worked so hard to lose this! Ugh!
I had sex and took plan be less than 24 hours later. It was a waiting game to see when I was gonna start my period. Throughout the waiting period I was super bitchy in the beginning, barely ate anything, THEN had a very big appetite and I'm always tired! Finally a month and one week later I started my period .. the color of my period was a lot darker than normal and I didn't last the full 7 days.. now I'm off my period and SO SAD... I'm so sad to the point where I was like wait is causing this so I started doing research and found all this so y'all ARENT ALONE! I'm like depressed for zero reason and I can't shake it. Although plan b works the side affects are awful!!!!
800 calories is way too low for anyone to be losing weight healthfully on. I once tried to lose weight extremely quickly like that, and it ended up throwing my body out of whack even more. Try bumping your calories to at LEAST 1,200-1,500 calories per day, and exercising 3 x a week with whatever you love doing. This way, you're giving your body a break and you're allowing your mind to rest. I'm not a doctor, but I would suggest just sticking to a different form of birth control that doesn't involve anything that will mess with your hormones. And if the guy broke up with you because of your weight-- well-- you deserve much better. Take care.
How long were your symptoms, I'm going on week 4 after plan B and I still feel terrible. I've been told (and read) that my side effects should've stopped 2 weeks after, I'm just thinking the plan B is in my system longer than expected.
Here's my experience:
May - Took plan b twice in one month
June - Woke up at night, 4-6 nights per week for about a month feeling panicked, gasping for air, and feeling confused about what was happening
July - Had experienced breast swelling in June, but discomfort increased in second month--burning sensation at top of both breasts. Discomfort increases in the evenings. mid- & upper-back soreness. Cramping as if period is near, but has not yet happened (my period isn't regular, but happens every 1 1/2 months approximately.

I took plan b 4 days ago and my boyfriend has called me a psycho at least 5 times a day since. You're not alone!
Hi I was wondering what other symptoms you had for 8 months? I have had severe irritability anger crying spells and my period twice a month since this pill just took one 10 months ago. Still all the same plus 10 pds weight gain. Did anything help you? Thanks Melissa
I remember going through the same thing you're all going through and it completely driving me into depression. After a 30 pound weight loss, I was at 139 pounds and incredibly happy with life. After taking plan B, my periods became more irregular than they've ever been, and slowly but surely, I went from 139 to 151 with no change in my diet or exercise regimen. I was constantly bloated, irritable, my hormones were incredibly imbalanced to the point where I swore I was actually pregnant, my period would skip a month entirely, and the only answers I could find were in forums like these with women experiencing the same thing. What bothered me the most is that I never seemed to get any answers as to when it'll go back to normal cause no one seemed to do a follow up post, which is why it was important for me to do one in case theres anyone out there going through the same thing. Now this definitely different for every one, some women went back to normal in 3 months, some are still suffering after a year and a half, but as for me, it took about 7 months. I continued to eat clean and exercise 5-6 times a week, but I think the biggest thing that aided me was to just stop stressing over it. I realized at a point that the constant anxiety about it was literally ruining my life; I was so insecure to a point where I didn't even want to see my friends. It came to a point where I told myself "this isn't gonna last forever and it is out of your control, so just relax and live your life." I of course exercised and ate well not to make matters worse, but eventually, my body figured itself out. My period is still not regular which sucks, but my weight is currently at 143 and my emotions are finally within my control haha. I'm still not 100% cured from this disaster but seeing progress is more than relieving, and if I've learned anything, it is that I will NEVER be taking plan b agin. but have hope ladies!!! this won't last forever!!!
I had to take plan B two days in a row due to condom malfunctions about a week and a half ago now. Aside from some mild physical side effects, I've been extremely moody, sad, irritable and angry. I live with depression that comes and goes and it feels different because I realize that my moodiness comes in waves and my anger is irrational. Example, I was madly in love with my boyfriend and then since taking the pill, I'm questioning our relationship and if I even love him anymore. I definitely think that depression/moodiness is a major side effect of the Plan B. I have taken it in the past and remember feeling similarly emotional but I can't recall how long it lasts for. It will get better....Eventually.
Thank you for saying it eventually goes back to normal!
I took a generic version in December. Then I bled for a month until January. And have been depressed and anxious since and it’s April. It cost me my relationship.
How long did it take for the weight to come off?
