Hello all,

I was having sex with a girl a few hours less than 48 hours ago. I made sure to put a condom on, we started off in one position for probably five minutes or so, and I know that my condom was on throughout that. Then we switched to a different position where I had less view of the condom and we stayed there for five minutes, and upon switching again, I noticed that my condom was missing. We still haven't found it. As soon as I noticed, we stopped having sex right then.

She was on the pill, but she had stopped taking it around five days before we had sex because it was making her sick. Is there a residual birth control effect of the pill, or does the protection end the day she misses a pill? I suggested that we get the morning after pill, and we did, but she got sick after taking the first pill and threw up around 15 minutes after taking it.

I'm panicking really badly since the suggested 72 hour window for Plan B is closing. Should she still take the second pill? Does it sound like the first pill's effect was completely lost in her vomiting? If so, is it safe to just get another emergency contraceptive kit and try taking the first pill again, then taking the second pill?

Thank you everyone for your answers!

Also, probably worth noting, I just checked the wrapper to the condom that I used and it doesn't make any mention of spermicide.
I did some more research, and it sounds like it is bad to throw up the first pill that quickly. Since I don't think that she's taken the second pill yet, is it a good bet to just start the process over? I read on http://www.plannedparenthood.org/health-topics/emergency-contraception-morning-after-pill-4363.htm#use that measures to prevent her from throwing up again can be inserting the pills high into the vagina, or by taking anti-nausea medicine ahead of time.

What's everyone think? Is this the route to take?
