I've had lower back pain for a very long time and when I sit for too long I feel heat in the left side of my back. I also just noticed that that side doesn't have as much feeling when I touch it as the other side. When I get up in the morning I can hardly sit up and for some reason it gets better after a bowel movement. I've been advised to file for disability because my back hurts a lot and I doubt if I could sit at a desk for eight hours. I had a MRI years ago and my doctor said there was space in my back bone and if I kept working where I was then it would get worse. I kept working and now i'm not working and it seems to be getting worse. I hate to not work and get disability but I don't think I can work like I used to. My back really hurts after doing plain laundry!
Well, you shouldn't work anymore if it makes your pain worse, but aeasier said than done :-( What kind of space in your back bone? I'm just trying to imagine. There must be some nerve damaged. What else did your doctor advise you? Are you taking any medications? Common causes of back pain involve disease or injury to the muscles, bones, and/or nerves of the spine. All three require a medical attention. Have you tried therapeutic massages?

I feel like I've been doing too many sit-ups with a combination of lower back pain when I sleep on my back. Any answers? It really hurts, but then after 5 minutes, I'm good.
