I was on the Pill for three months, but kept on forgetting [honestly forgetting, not 'accidentally'] the tablet about 6 days before I was due to start the sugarfree ones. During this time, I was having unprotected sex. However, when I finally got off the pill, I had a heavy period, and at one point, stepped into the shower and a lump of fleshy, browny-grey something, about 2cmx2cm, fell out. It was surrounded with blood, but when most of that was washed away, was more or less spherical with a less-solid end. When I touched it, it was quite solid.
During this time, I was also sneezing a lot, and every time I sneezed, it felt like I was wetting myself - it was, in fact, blood.
At the time, I attributed it to just the fact I'd missed a few periods due to following the instructions on the pills - if you forget a pill one week before you're due to start the sugar pills, don't start the sugar pills.

But now, I stopped the pills about 2 months ago, and got an Implanon implant a few weeks ago. In between this time, I'd had unprotected sex with my partner, but he never finished without a condom. I'm aware of that risk, and I've got my period again, maybe a few days late, but my cycle is usually to about 4.5 - 5 weeks, so I'm not too worried. Except I discharged another lump - not as large as the last one, more stringy, half red and about 2cm x 0.5cm, but there all the same.

There are a couple of differences - the first one, I had bad enough pain to make me nauseus [which has happened to me before] and was bleeding heavily, but this one I'm not either of those. I've also never discharged any other lumps.

I'm not sure, and what I've seen on the net makes it about a 50/50, I think.
Do you think this/these are/were miscarriages, or just abnormal periods?
Well I'm really sorry to say this but all this indicates on early miscarriage. But it is not very good that you had it in such short period. and your body is getting used to new stuff, and hormones are not like they supposed to be. You have to be more careful next time. If you have no pain or crunches than you might be fine. But a routine check out would not be harmful. It would be advisable for you to go and see a doctor. Hope that you will be ok. Keep us posted on your condition.

=\ Thanks for replying.

Another large lump, probably like the lining of something. Lots of pain, then it came out and it didn't hurt any more.
Agh.

From what it sounds like, there's not much of a risk of you having gotten pregnant or a miscarriage, but without any pregnancy tests or results, it's hard to say. As dark_red has posted, you definitely should be more careful if you are concerned about this because even having unprotected sex without a condom without actually ejaculating can still lead to pregnancy. Please keep us posted on how this is going for you. We're all pulling for you.

My thought would be that these are just bleeding/clotting episodes. Starting and stopping BC will cause these kinds of symptoms. Of course, you can't be sure, but these events sounds fairly normal to me. If you read some of the other posts, you will see a lot of experiences like yours with other women, especially in regards to BC pills/missing them and schedules. I hope this helps. I also think you should do a pregnancy test when you know you've had unprotected sex, especially if it was for a while. Let us know how you are doing.
