For the past month I have been having lower abdominal cramps. When I went to the obgyn, she told me that it was probably due to coming off of my birth control. For the past week, my abdominal area has been very bloated. Also, I've noticed a lump. It is about an inch by 1/3 inch.. I'm not sure. What could be the cause of this?
I wonder if it could be an ovarian cyst. what is the density like hard or soft and squishy? does it feel smooth or lumpy? and about how deep is it. does it seem to be on top of the muscle under the skin or deeper into your abdomen?
Thanks so much for replying. Its hard and smooth. When this first started I couldn't feel it when laying down but now I can. It use to feel as if it was deep in the abdomen but here lately its felt more on top of the muscle.
i would deffinatly get it checked out asap as if it is anything serious they can normaly remove it before it spreads. the doctor may take a biopsy to see what the lump is made out of. and or an ultrasoud. does it hurt if you mess with it or push on it?
It doesn't really hurt when I mess with it, just feels a little weird. I'm 19 but still on my father's insurance and he's wanting me to wait until it kicks back in until Jan. unless it gets bigger, I guess.

It doesn't cause me any pain but I definitly feel something. I just had my yearly appointment with my doctor, who when doing my exam was feeling around that area and didn't say anything so I thought it was just something I was making up in my head. Its there though, I get nervous about it but I figure it can't be that bad because it doesn't cause me any pain, I found it when I had cramps a couple months ago.
