I have this sensation like I have lump in my throat, sometimes cough. It lasts for weeks now. After eating certain kinds of food acid reflux occur and I belch. What do these symptoms refers to? I am 34 old, male.
Symptoms like lump in throat, or maybe excessive throat mucous etc. are of acid reflux in larynx. It is often to occur after meals, and to avoid the risk of belching you shouldn’t drink carbonated beverages and eat two hours before lying down. Some people with acid reflux may also have delayed emptying of the stomach in the lower intestinal track, leaving increased amounts of food in the tract .The more food there is the more time will be needed to allow gastric emptying and higher is a potential for more acid to be refluxed. So, decrease your meals as much as you can.
