My hamster has lump on his bum. It's hard and movable.

As long as your hamster is acting healthy and the tumor is not growing, then you can probably let it alone.  Tumors can be removed by surgery, but they may grow back.  If your hamster starts to act lethargic or looks ill, then you should take it to a vet.
