I have this lump on the inside of my cheek. It has been there for as long as I can remember, but it seems to have grown bigger over the years. At first, I thought this was something that everyone had, but after talking to some people it seems like this is not at all common. Do any of you know what it could be, and if it could be dangerous?
My sister has this. She went to see a doctor about it and it turned out that my sister, who is a generally easily stressed person, spent years biting that spot on the inside of her cheek, much like nail biting! Could this possibly be the same thing that you have? In her case, it is definitely not dangerous. If you are worried, you should obviously see a doctor.
Thank you so much for your thoughts on the matter. I don't THINK I have spent years biting on my cheek, though who knows. I do get stressed quite easily and I have a stressful job as well, intellectually. I guess I should go and see a doctor about this as none of you can see what the lump actually looks like.
