Umm I noticed that my sperm had lumps in it. I saw it straight after I had ejuculated. I had never seen seen this before in my life. I am 27. I was alittle concern, so i masturbated the next morning to see if it was still there. And it was! I have what looks like nornal semen but then some of it is lumpy and alittle discoloured. I have no pain or discomfort anywhere. If anyone has any idea's (or more importantly knows) that would be truely greatful. No one whats to go to a dotor about these things, if you don't have to. Cheers.
I reckon this is nothing to worry about because I did some research on sperm content and appearance and lumpy sperm doesn’t seem to be a problem and it is considered normal. It appears that some semen fluids thicken and semen appears lumpy.
The reason I was looking into the matter was because my boyfriend had similar problems for a period of time. I knew that his semen was always sort of milky, clear or white but always smooth and suddenly it appeared to be chunky.
Nobody reported this to be serious and the cause seems not to be known, so it appears to be normal. Although I didn’t notice it before, now I do that sometimes he has clear and smooth semen and sometimes chunky.
This seems to happen to many men.
I know I haven’t provided any scientific explanation but I haven’t found any but this. Hope this helps anyway!

I had a similar (although not as severe sounding problem) with lumpy semen, almost gel-like clear globs in my ejaculate.

My doctor I saw, a urologist, put me on antibiotics (Bactrim DS) for two weeks and it cleared up. In my case (can't guarantee yours) the culprit was Prostatitis, an inflammation of the prostate due to bacteria or possibly other things. Like a UTI almost.

I have actually had the condition return once since (it can actually be a recurring problem for some) and another course of antibiotics cleared it up again.

I READ ABOUT THIS ON THE INTERNET ABOUT THIS BEFORE GOING TO DOCTOR AND THERE IS A LOT OF CONFLICTING OR MISLEADING INFORMATION ("you are just dehydrated", "oh its normal for it to change", etc). YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR SEMEN LOOKS LIKE, SO IF IT CHANGES ODDLY, GET IT CHECKED OUT.

YMMV, but talk to your doctor! If he says it isn’t serious or doesn’t satisfy your concerns, stress to him you want to look closer at the issue for your health or go to another doctor!

In fact it would be strange if this wasn't generally the case. The prostate produces a fluid that is designed to coagulate (hence the lumps) in order to ensure the semen once inside a sexual partners womb stays there. This manifests itself as 'gel -like clear globs', so to assume this could be bacterial is frivolous and money hungry. Guest you have been ripped off. This issue is nothing to concern yourself with unless you experience pain and discomfort while ejaculating, then see a specialist. Ejaculate can be all sorts of colours and appearances and often are a result of our diets and lifestyles, but lumpy semen is a natural process which aids us all in becoming mums and dads.
