Hi,

Have any members/posters here tried any of the products from the Meaningful Beauty line created by Cindy Crawford (supermodel) and Jean-Louis Sebagh (French doctor)? The key ingredient is apparently a French melon extract that is also said to be a powerful antioxidant. I came across mentions of this line and though I am normally not the first to jump on any kind of celebrity bandwagon, this line definitely has me intrigued.

If you have used any of their products, and especially the day cream, can you tell me something more about the pros and cons of them?

Thank you!

I too have been interested in this product but have not yet made any purchases. One thing that struck me is that though the melon extract is one of its main selling points, it is, in fact, far from the first listed ingredient. I did hear that the newer version added peptides and hylauronic acid, probably in a bid to improve efficacy. I have heard bad things about peptides so I am not too sure about that. On the other hand, they do have a 60 day money back guarantee, as well as many positive reviews, which also counts for something. Also though some complain about the price, it is much cheaper than some other products on the market.

I've used Meaningful Beauty products in the past, for a few years actually. Towards the end, I started having a very irritated face and puffy eyes after using the day cream and the eye cream. I concluded that the ingredient list had changed and that the products were no longer for me. Of course I did look around and noticed that I was not the only woman to have these problems with this product. Some were complaining about the face wash, which I never used, as well. This problem is widespread enough that I would not recommend these products to you, unfortunately.

Celebrity + some doctor + an ingredient that few people have heard of and that actually really appears really low down its ingredient list + bad reviews = another fad. Plain and simple, that's how I see it anyway. Folks, why not stick to more medically tested products with ingredients you know, trust and love? That's how I see it anyway. Bonus points of the cream don't cost an arm and a leg, people. And the PP that talks about reactions? Yeeks that would definitely put me off. If I wasn't already sure I wasn't gonna use this, then I would be now, LOL...

Hello,

I do not have any personal experience yet. Having said that, I have been looking at their Advanced Introductory System. I like the looks of that and think the price is very reasonable considering what you get for it — a complete system. I like that it has everything you need, works for anti-aging, works for the antioxidants, and has an SPF. People who have used it generally seem to report that their skin looks radiant and healthy as well.

So, I will most likely purchase this and I will let you know what I think after I have been using it for a while.

There has been quite a lot of theoretical discussion about these products and their ingredients. I have only one thing to add to this, then (not having any experience with this particular line myself). No matter what you read online or elsewhere about a skincare product, you will only ever really know whether it is a good fit or not if you try it.

Of course, sometimes other factors, such as financial, or ingredients you can't handle, or a dislike of the packaging, or anything like that, can dissuade you from using it. But if you like the idea of a product, no matter how many other people say it worked well for them, you will never know whether it will do the same for you until you actually try it. So if you like the thought of a product, like the ingredients, and like the price (or at least it does not hurt, go for it and try it out for yourself!

I judge skincare products on their merits, not according to who designed them or markets them. I rely on reviews quite a bit. This line probably wouldn't be for me because I have rosacea and my skin is easily irritated. I'm using a special line for people with rosacea now and that helps, but is no magic solution either. In any case, if this were right for my skin, then I have to note that many of the Amazon reviews of Meaningful Beauty products are overwhelmingly positive — go see for yourself. If it wasn't for the rosacea, I would strongly consider giving this line an honest go.

I have used their Crème de Serum myself and I liked it fine. I was expecting it to meet all my moisturizing needs because I have normal to oily skin, though, but I found that it was not enough on its own. I still needed to moisturize as well. Mind you, using this in addition to moisturizer was much better than just using the mouisturizer. It did not irritate my skin and left it feeling and looking glowy and healthy as long as I made sure to follow it up with a moisturizer. Hope that answers your question at least about this particular product, I don't have any experience with other Meaningful Beauty products.
