Hi,
3 days ago my mom, 62 years old, started to scratch a mole, actually she didn't remember if there was this mole...and she's not sure if it previously was a mole.
anyway, after scratching it, it was all red but there was no bleeding.
after 3 days, it suddenly changed its color but i don't think it got bigger.
here's a picture of what it looks like, now.

i can see NOT a regular border around the mole, and there's a different color and different shades, tanner, brown and black shades and i don't like these signs.
what do you think about this? is there a risk of melanoma? :-(
and how can we cure it?

Any suspicious moles should be evaluated by a dermatologist. I suggest that since it was itching and appearing atypical that she get it looked at ASAP.
Good luck!
