Just to let u know sometimes looking for pain relief leads to an addiction to pills that sometimes leads to addiction to herion because you grow a tolerance to the pills and have to take more and more. so soon that the RX is no longer enough.
Wow. Actually, a normal methadone dose for heroin addicts is anywhere between 70MG and 120mg. Methadone CAN make you nod out and get you high. Being "high" and being "happy" are two totally different things, sweetie. Your experience does not speak for all people so it does not matter if you've never got "high" or "happy" from methadone. Get off your self righteous high horse: drugs are drugs. Opioids are opioids. It doesn't matter WHY you take them because we are all addicted to the sh*t. Just because you were prescribed a narcotic to feel better doesn't make you any better than someone who shoots heroin to feel better. Pain is pain. We all treat it the best way we know how. For you to totally c**p on someone who is trying to get off of drugs and possibly better their life, especially someone so young, completely lacks empathy and compassion. So, in my book that 19 year old is more knowledgeable and more compassionate than you will ever hope to be.

Your not really suppose to take pain meds with methadone.methadone fells the same receptors as the painwhich means you won't feel the pain meds that's y people O.D
you're completely wrong and in actual fact 90 mg is not a toxic dose, a toxic dose is a dose where the drug actually poisons you internally, true 90 mg could be a lethal dose but not toxic so get off your high horse as you don't actually know what you're talking about. people like you spread misinformation and for your information you're as much as an addict as the youngster who goes to the clinic you ignorant fool
I'm on Methodone my dose is 75 mg some times after my dose I get hot flashes and I feel like I gotta puke and I get hot and cold.and I sweat.is this normal????
Hi guest. Sorry about your bf, but this can happen at 20mg or 200mg. It is usually caused faster with higher dosages, but over time, even 20mg is enough. These symptoms are usually caused by males' testosterone becoming depleted due to Methadone use. Please note that for men, all narcotics can cause this problem. I had it from pain meds. Go to family doctor or walk in clinic and have his testosterone level checked. When they realize how low it is, they will give him an intramuscular injection of Testosterone to bring his levels back up to normal. If he stays on Methadone, he should get a booster for it to maintain it. I get a booster every four weeks. It improved my energy, slept less and Sex drive works very well again. That's it!

i know what your going thru ive tapered down to 30 mg from 90 over the past year or so i defenitely feel very nauseous in the mornings no energy almost a toxic sick i get what your saying and it usually goes away after i eat. try drinking fresh fruit and veggie homemade smoothies add kale,spinach,pineapple,oranges,turmeric,black pepper,coconut water,and coconut oil,grapes,banana,blueberries ,raspberries,almonds,flax,and aloe vera that will definety add the needed nutrients and vitamins to your body and help to get the blood flowing to all your needed body parts have your teeth started to rot yet from all the sugar from the orange they mix it with? Mine have even thougi rinse right after get off this c**p while u have a chance!
I also don't get high..if you do you .ight be to high. I am on 120 mg and weening . I also don't get high off of it..make me feel normal. But every morning my stomach is screwed up. And for that reason I can't sleep..between 2-5 a.m I am up and in pain...
About twice a month i get sick in the morning. I feel naseaus...throw up stomach bile until theree nothing left in me. I sweat like crazy and feel awful but,uaually it goes away quickly after i lay down for a short period. There has been times,ive thrown up,all day. Acpl months ago i was hospitalized cause it was so bad. Its only been happening since ive been on methadone but ive been on a stable dose for over a year...but i think maybe too much is building inside me...
I am on 150 split for Ms nerve pain. Worked well for the first 3 years now I have terrible night sweats and headaches till I vomit and loads of stomach issues to the point I can't eat. Seeing doc wed as I honestly can't live like this. Will let you know what they say.
To be honest..methadone make you feel all kind of symptoms for me i feel like my body and mind cant relax its really weird and the person that made this post i have felt your sympyoms yoo im on 102mg methadone so many weird feelings youre not alone..
Just because you have pain does not mean you are not addicted, dependent, or will be very soon with that attitude. Addiction knows no social class, poor or rich, in pain or out of pain. Read the label on Methadone. You have the same exact chance of reacting to methadone as the youngster. Let the doctor take away a quarter of your dose and we will see if it is about pain, or sickness at that point. I have a feeling your first reaction would be about withdrawal and not your pain relief. Now you have been on every opioid know to man, the nature of fentanyl is it relieves your central nervous system of pain, stress, and anxiety. It is a side effect of the medicine. You may think of the youngster as some weak substance abuser, by the way you should thank heroin addicts for keeping methadone around so long. It was only about 20 years ago when they were not prescribing methadone to chronic pain patients but they realized how helpful it is for pain. BTW, just like you don't like heroin addicts, because they abuse drugs you need. Chronic Pain in some people is awesome, in others it is a joke, it is another way to abuse drugs if you just so happen to have a health issue. Perfect Storm? By the way 120 Mgs of methadone is not a normal chronic pain dose. Just letting you know. A chronic pain dose at the most is 80 mgs. And you are probable dosing at a methadone clinic, Or your doctor is a junkie himself.
Hey to you better than people. I have seen alot more people with pain issues turn into junkies than not. I have seen alot in my life. I used to see a few pain patients sell their meds. Opiates in general,, methadone much less so, give you an after-dose glow, a minor buzz whether you are in pain or not, it is the nature of how the opiate works. So stop picking on a 19 year old kid who just stopped slamming heroin, what does he have to go jump off a building be in pain, to be at your level. Listen pal, there is no monopoly on suffering we all got it. Some people are drug addicts, a hard life, and some of us are in pain, no one is better. I love all the pain people say I am better than a heroin addict, okay well how would you feel if your Dr. moved away this afternoon. Felt a little fear there didnt you. Yes you are dopendent on your meds. Period. Stop judging others.
