Is anyone familiar with methortrexate? If ayone would give me information, whether methortrexate could be prescribed for emphysema patients, I would be very grateful.

I was just surfing and found this forum, where M.D. claims he or she prescribes methortrexate for emphysema patients. The reply discredits him or her totally; it says “methotrexate can trigger a unique and dangerous form of lung disease any time during the course of therapy”, so it is not to be prescribed for patients with emphysema and that this reaction can occur at doses as low as 7.5mg per week... Huh??? This got me confused too!
