Anyone here aware of the fact that the Mirena is the Norplant only instead of capsules in the arm it's an IUD? I was not aware of this at the time I had my Mirena put in. Yes I was naive. The Norplant was pulled off of the market because women were having so many problems. Nowhere on the Bayer consumer form that I read does it say this is a Norplant. I believe that this is an attempt by the drug companies to use the same old hormone treatment that caused all of the issues in the 90's-just in a new form.
