Hi there. I'm a 16 year old female and for the past week I've had this really weird throat pain. When I swallow food or water, it feels really constricted going down my throat on the right side. Then it feels like it falls into my chest, and I get a really painful burning feeling. I'm in no way sick (no fever, cough, cold or anything) and I usually just feel a little discomfort or nothing at all when I'm not trying to eat. But it really hurts and I haven't been able to eat much because of the pain. I went to the doctor, who said he couldn't see anything like strep or mono. He told me it was probably a bad case of acid reflux. He was pretty unsure, though, and told me to see an ear nose and throat doctor of antacids didn't do anything. I'm getting kind of freaked out. Anyone know what this is?
