I didn't really want to see this movie, but my only other choice was The Princess Diaries II. :|
The film opens with them collecting team members. The only problems is that they only collect 2 people and both of those scenes are really short. The rest of the team just appears and they're in a helicopter headed for an ice breaker in Antarctica.
So, a sattelite has discovered an ancient pyramid 2,000 ft. below the ice and from these sattelite workups, they can deduce that the pyramids have Aztec, Egyptian and Cambodian [sp?] influences? :?
The movie continues downhill from there because a fresh tunnel suddenly appears on the surface of the ice going directly down to the pyramids. How convenient.
From there, the aliens and predators are introduced, but the action happens in such quick shots that it's hard to tell what the heck it was you just saw. The theather had the volume up WAY TOO LOUD too.
Of course, team members are picked off at random, but it's hard to remember who's alive and who is dead because they did such a c**p job of character development.
By the climax, some of the action scenes weren't so short, so you could tell what was going on (which is nice). That's the highlight of the movie, being able to tell what the heck you just saw.
Overall :: out of 5.

FOX had a preview/ behind the scenes show on the other day. Bummer it was a let down.
So...the Antarctic pyramid had Cambodian influences.
Huh.
And yet, somehow, this monstrosity made 38 million. Talk about a movie that had no buzz going into it, either.
