Dear all,

My 15 year old brother was just diagnosed in June 09 with high grade malignant (not not metastisized) osteosarcoma. He had 10 weeks of pre-surgery chemo, limb-salvage surgery, and now is getting ready to begin the post surgery chemo (7 months). He is on crutches now and will have to re-learn how to walk on his leg. He is losing weight but his spirits are in pretty good shape. I signed him up for the Make a Wish foundation and he's going to get a computer and some other things which he is really looking forward to. He deserves it. He really is the perfect child and an amazing brother. If anyone can e-mail me with suggestions for getting through chemo (like things to do in the hospital when you have a roomie to make it easier), ways to be comfortable sleeping over at the hospital, etc....my e-mail address is _[removed]_ and by the way, we live in California and he is being seen at a Children's hospital.

Does anyone know how likley it is for a patient to get the lung metastisis if they present without it in the beginning??

Thanks/HUGS/

~M

Hi there, my heart really goes out to your poor brother and I'm glad to hear that he's getting good treatment and that he's got good morale. I would just like to offer my support and wish him the best and hope that others can do the same here. Let me know how he's doing, okay? I"m sure others would like to hear how he's doing!
