Hi. I'm a 16 year old girl and I became sexually active for the first time recently. My boyfriend and I had protected sex, then four days later, I began my period. I've been quite worried about pregnancy... is there any chance I could be pregnant? Thank you!

It's not likely for three reasons.
1. You had sex 4 days before your period started. Within about 10 days of your period starting you're fertility is decreasing rapidly, it's past when you'd ovulate and the egg is not viable.
2. You had your period. If it was "normal" for you then that is a good sign you are not pregnant.
3. You used protection. Used properly it DOES work. Always use protection.
